AARA is
dedicated to serving the Acadiana Region of
Club Events AARA Training Day April 9, 2022 The AARA will be hosting a training event starting at 9:00 AM on April 9th, 2022 at the farm of Steve Webre - AF5VR in Church Point, LA. We will dive into Antenna Designs/Theory by Dave Redfern – N4ELM as well as Parks on the Air 101 by Chris Ancelet – N5MCY. We hope that you will join us for a day of education, demonstrations, Q&A and plenty of laughter. You are encouraged to bring your portable set up for testing and/or demonstration. The AARA plans to conduct 2022 Field
Day activities at a site that is yet to be determined. During the 24 hr period of this event
amateur radio operators across the United States and Canada will operate from remote stations and
attempt to contact as many stations as possible. The event is open to the public
including non-licensed persons interested in learning about amateur
radio. Additional details regarding the club's planned activities
will be published when they become available. Information on the

Field Day. 2022 Tour du Teche Canoe Race November 30 - October 2, 2022 135 mile three day canoe race Port Barre, LA to Berwick, LA The AARA historically provides communications support at various checkpoints along the race route for the annual Tour du Teche canoe race.
